Synopsis

The tour of the Museum of Antiquities, led by an archaeologist, takes students on a fascinating journey through time to discover the civilizations of the past through archaeological finds, everyday objects, and works of art. In the “Archeology in Turin” section, students will learn about the founding and development of Augusta Taurinorum, examining the remains of the Roman theater, mosaics, and artifacts that illustrate public and private life in the ancient city. The tour continues in the Archaeological Gallery, where artifacts from the ancient Mediterranean—from Mesopotamia to the Greek, Etruscan, and Roman worlds—are on display, offering insight into the evolution of civilizations and their artistic expressions.

For teachers: The tour itinerary within the Museum of Antiquities will be arranged and customized with our Education Office at the time of booking to best meet the needs of the class’s curriculum.
