Synopsis

Every work of art is born from the convergence of an idea, technical expertise, and materials. The tour takes place in the rooms of the Piano Nobile and involves direct observation of frescoes, stucco work, gilding, ivory, metals, marble, and precious fabrics. Students will learn to interpret the works beyond their beauty, recognizing the labor, techniques, and skills of the artisans who created them, transforming colors, light, and materials into extraordinary tools for representing the power and taste of the Savoy court. At the end of the tour, they will have the opportunity to observe and handle various materials, comparing their characteristics, properties, and uses.
