Synopsis

The visit to the Museum of Antiquities, led by an archaeologist, takes students on a fascinating journey through time, discovering the civilizations of the past through archaeological finds, everyday objects, and artistic artifacts. In the “Archeology in Turin” section, students will learn about the birth and development of Augusta Taurinorum, observing the remains of the Roman theater, mosaics, and artifacts that recount the public and private life of the ancient city. The tour continues in the Archaeological Gallery, where artifacts from the ancient Mediterranean—from Mesopotamia to the Greek, Etruscan, and Roman worlds—are on display, allowing visitors to understand the evolution of civilizations and their artistic languages.
