Our Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mission of the Royal Museums is to preserve and enhance the heritage of monuments, works of art, and spaces that originated from the dynastic history of the House of Savoy, defining an urban complex located in the heart of the historic city. This heritage is placed in a dynamic relationship with visitors\u2019 experiences, fostering opportunities for improved access, knowledge, creativity, and enjoyment.
The visitor experience is the primary objective of the Royal Museums, which are committed to pursuing excellence in every aspect of their work on the collections and in their activities. By using both traditional and innovative tools in the fields of communication, interpretation, and presentation, the Royal Museums aim to offer their audiences a dynamic, innovative, and welcoming service, dedicated to cultural growth in the areas of history and the visual arts.<\/p>\n

Our History<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Royal Museums of Turin (formerly the Royal Hub), pursuant to Article 30 of Prime Ministerial Decree No. 171 of 29 August 2014 \u2014 the Regulation on the organization of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the offices of direct collaboration with the Minister, and the Independent Performance Evaluation Body (the so-called \u201cFranceschini Reform\u201d) \u2014 are recognized as a museum of significant national interest, endowed with special autonomy in scientific, financial, accounting, and organizational matters.<\/p>\n

In 2016, following the issuance of Ministerial Decree No. 43 of 23 January 2016, amending the decree of 23 December 2014 entitled \u201cOrganization and functioning of state museums,\u201d the Turin museum area changed its name: the former \u201cRoyal Hub\u201d was replaced by the new \u201cRoyal Museums.\u201d<\/p>\n

This change of name reflects the intention to continue along the path of autonomy and to define a new identity as a single, unified institution.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
